The BCI USA Chapter was officially established as a not-for-profit corporation in the State of Florida on April 24, 2008 and is based in Daytona Beach Shores. The BCI USA Chapter now joins other BCI country chapters in Australia, Canada, Switzerland, and the Far East Region. The BCI is the recognized leader in setting and validating standards of professional competence and ethics in business continuity management, and provides a variety of professional support services to its members.
Each of the officers has over 20 years of hands-on experience in business continuity and risk management; each has made significant contributions to the business continuity profession in the United States.
The BCI USA Chapter is planning a variety of customized member activities that it believes will bring a new level of professionalism to BC practitioners in the United States. Among the planned activities of the BCI USA Chapter is a comprehensive education program involving the various BCM-related disciplines. This program will include seminars, interactive advanced workshops, webinars, expositions and classroom training, all developed in partnership with leading subject matter experts. Other planned activities include a speakers’ bureau; data repository of industry information, and many others.
